Serving Christ and Community

Message from Our Pastor

We welcome you to Davis Memorial United Methodist Church. From our beginnings in 1959, we have been a community of faith designed to reach out to the people of the surrounding community.

We are small enough to know the individuals who worship here, and large enough to offer programs to people of all ages. For young children we have a Christian based preschool program. For children we have a children’s sermon in worship and have Sunday School for Christian education. For youth we offer contemporary services, a youth program, a small group program, and mission opportunities. For adults we have Bible studies, service opportunities through Angel Food ministries, and fellowship in small groups. For our mature adults we have Primetimers who meet every Wednesday.

Davis Memorial United Methodist Church is in the very real sense a community. There is a very active lay membership. Many of our members have attended the Emmaus retreat, and many of our members are certified lay speakers who have the opportunity to participate and lead worship services. Being a Christian in today’s world requires everyone to be committed and involved.

At the heart of Davis Memorial United Methodist Church is worship. We offer worship services once a month on Friday nights, every Saturday we hold our “Open Door” service, and on Sunday morning we have an abbreviated traditional service at 8 a.m., contemporary service at 9 a.m. and a traditional service at 11 a.m.

If you are looking for a place to call home, we invite you to Davis Memorial United Methodist Church. I am privileged to serve as the pastor at Davis. I can assure you that this family of faith will welcome you and help you find your fit. Please call or email me if you have any questions, or want more information about Davis.

I look forward to seeing you on Sunday mornings and during the week in our activities.

May God Bless You and Keep You.

Rev. Linda A. Holbrook
