Centennial Celebration — Willie Is No Show for Oct. 23
The CTC Centennial Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 23 in Fort Worth, will be packed with entertainment and activities from early morning to mid-afternoon. Unfortunately, Willie Nelson and his sister Bobbie will not be one of them. The conference had a commitment from Nelson, who’s only request was that half of the offering to be designated to benefit his scholarship foundation, but his manager notified the Centennial Committee that he is over committed for that time period. The event will go on despite this setback, but there will be no loss of fun opportunities. Watch for an update on what sensational keynote entertainment will fill that slot. Men's Ministry meets on the 2nd Saturday of each month at the church at 7 a.m. and then go to Tucker's at 9 a.m. Please come and join us.

Troop 144 meets at Davis Memorial UMC on Monday nights from 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., goes camping every month, and goes to Summer Camp every year. If you would like more information please visit there Web site at www.troop-144.org.
